Section number 15782 of BPC110 is an online class covering an introduction to the OpenOffice.org application suite. It starts August 25th, so sign up now.
The class is full! That's great news for education about Free Software. The class limit is higher than it was supposed to be, so there are still a few extra slots left. Sign up now if you want to take the class.
Paintball was fun. We had a mix of people. It was also a good opportunity to give Kevin a bit of a send off and hope it's the last time he's shot at in the next few years.
tunys was in to represent the Avondale Stammtisch and schlepped his Lojban book with him. We should've gotten him to yell out war cries in Lojban :).
The indoor facility is nice and the appropriate place for summer games in Phoenix, but we should try one of the outdoor facilities in late Fall.
Some PLUG and LOPSA-US-AZ members will be meeting to play paintball at noon on June 14th. The event is open to anyone who wants to join us. We can get up to 30 people on the group reservation, but the facility can accomodate more.
See the Xtreme Pursuitgroup rate page to see what you get for $25. We'll certainly be needing to buy more ammo as well.
Meerkat Manor is coming back! After Animal Planet seemed to drop the show, it's great to see not only season 4, but a new special!
It all starts 2008May25 with Meerkat Manor: The Story Begins. It looks like that's a restaging of Flower's youth. I wonder if the delay was due to the meerkat actors being on a sympathy strike with the writers guild. After the movie is a special on the making of the movie.
Mesa Community College is offering a couple "Free Software" classes this summer. They're 8 week classes at the Business and Industry Institute. Both classes start at the beginning of June and run through the end of July.
