LOPSA has announced professional system administration training for SCALE 6x.

As the chair for LOPSA's education committee, I'm thrilled that we got all of the arrangements in order and that we've got a couple of good classes to bring to SCALE. Austin Godber, Platform Engineer for JumpBox, a vendor of virtual server appliances, will offer a class on Virtualization, and Chris St. Pierre, Unix System Administrator at Nebraska Wesleyan University and a frequent instructor for LOPSA, will teach about fighting spam with open source tools.

SCALE was generous and tossed in a free "SCALE 6x Full Access Pass" for anybody paying for our classes. That means the $300 for the full day of classes also gets you full weekend access to the SCALE event and saves you $70. Thanks to SCALE for helping us bring in professional system administration training and for providing extra value to our registration!

Registration is a little funky as our classes aren't on the main registration page. On the registration page choose the "SCALE 6x Full Access Pass" and that will take you to a page that will allow you to register for the SCALE University classes from LOPSA. After choosing to register for "SCALE University" the full price of the SCALE 6x Full Access Pass will be discounted.

We will also have a booth and should be near CACert again this year.

We also have two LOPSAns, moose and Luke, giving presentations during the normal SCALE schedule.

See you in February.
